Dental implants in Turkey: what they cost and what the price includes

A single dental implant with its crown typically costs between $350 and $750 in Istanbul. The same treatment usually costs several thousand dollars in the UK or the US. The gap is real, but a low price only helps you if you know what is inside it.

Typical prices by country

These are typical ranges for one implant with its crown. Your own quote depends on your case, the clinic and the materials.

CountryTypical price per implant
Turkey$350 – $750
Germany$1,800 – $3,200
United Kingdom$2,400 – $5,200
United States$3,200 – $5,800

What changes the price

  • The implant brand. Premium Swiss and Swedish brands cost more than Korean or Turkish ones. Both groups include well-documented systems, so ask which brand you are being quoted for.
  • The crown material. A zirconia crown costs more than porcelain fused to metal.
  • Extra surgery. If there is not enough bone, you may need a bone graft or a sinus lift. These are priced separately and can add several hundred dollars per site.
  • Extractions and temporary teeth. Check whether they are included.
  • How many implants you need. Full-arch treatments such as All-on-4 are priced as a package, not per implant.

Plan for two trips

An implant is usually done in two stages. On the first trip the dentist places the implant in the jaw. The bone then needs time to heal around it, usually three to six months. On the second trip the final crown is fitted. Some cases allow temporary teeth on the same day, but the final teeth still come later.

That means two sets of flights and hotel nights. Add them to the quote when you compare it with a price at home.

Questions to ask before you accept a quote

  1. Which implant brand and model will be used, and will I receive the implant passport with its serial number?
  2. Who places the implant? Ask for the dentist's name and qualification.
  3. Does the price include the 3D scan, the abutment and the crown, or only the implant itself?
  4. What is the guarantee, in writing, and what does it cover if I am already back home?
  5. What happens, and who pays, if an implant fails to heal?
